Time for Chocolate Party! Ritter Sport Sponsored by Tryazon!

Image
I was SO excited to be chosen for a  Tryazon  Party. It was called 'Time for Chocolate' and was full of  Ritter Sport Chocolate . I have been sharing chocolate like crazy for the last couple of weeks to those friends who couldn't attend my party last Saturday and it's been a blast! My hubby has been the biggest convert to this chocolate. He's really fussy when it comes to chocolate and likes it imported from England!! There is normally only one kind of chocolate he would eat bought in the US (not giving the name) but honestly he has a new favorite. Ritter Sport Dark Chocolate Marzipan has now made it to the top of his list. However, he will I promise eat ANY flavor of Ritter! Jam loved milk chocolate and butter biscuit Lava Girl loved the milk chocolate and coconut Captain loved milk chocolate strawberry creme Disclosure of Material Connection: Some of the links in the post above are “affiliate links.” This means if you click on the link and purchas

Radio Station Field Trip

Image
We went on a fun trip yesterday! Our local home school group organized a fun trip to our local radio station. The kids really loved it. Jam couldn't make it as he was lifeguarding. But we were able to bring some of our friends from out of town with us. The station actually is a home to four stations and it was fun seeing how everything worked!

Experiments and fun Balloon colors!

Image
When Jam asked me to grab some balloons for an experiment I found some really cute ones. Captain thought we had colored them somehow and it was part of the experiment result. I think he was a little disappointed to hear I had bought them like that! As for the experiment - it went perfectly!

What do you do with all your kids art?

Image
We are moving, so it's that time to clear out the piles of artwork my kids have created and of course they want you to keep every single piece. That can't happen. Imagine with 3 kids and almost a drawing/painting a day for years. Nope not going to happen. I'm not sure how you solve this dilemma, I mean you can't just throw them away, and the Christmas tree is SO full Captain is the only one who makes an ornament each year. We take pictures, yep the artwork gets to stay around for a while, so everyone can look at the real deal. However, after an undisclosed amount of time they have to go. So I take a photo and load it onto a drive. This drive is attached to our screen saver on the TV. So not only do we get random family photos, we also get random art work. Everyone always loves it when theirs pops up! How do you save yours?

Creative Freewriting Adventure - Home School Adventure Co. {TOS Review}

Image
Boo was thrilled with one of our latest reviews. She has been working on her  creative writing  skills using  Home School Adventure Co's  Creative Freewriting Adventure. She's been using it along side their  Creative Freewriting Adventure Coloring book  and loving every minute! What Boo loved the most about this is that it allows her to be creative without having to start from scratch. The program is designed to help the student have fun and that's just what Boo has said about it. Boo loves to write but sometimes gets frustrated when she has to rewrite the same piece over and over to improve it. By the end of the assignment she's emotionally done with the piece and all the initial enjoyment is gone. With this program we have taken that away - In fact I haven't even graded or marked these papers in anyway. I hope that's the way it was intended to be used as that's what I got from the instructions. In my mind it said to me 'bring back the joy in writi

Blogging through the Alphabet - H is for House Hunting

Image
Hubby and I recently drove ten hours to house hunt. It's not the first time we have looked for a new house. However, it's the first time we did on a deadline. We had a week...yes a week in a new city ten hours away from everything and everyone we love to find a house. It's a strange thing when you have a deadline, it makes even regularly stressful things more stressful. To make things worse the housing market in the area we are moving too is rocking...well I say that to mean that it was definitely a sellers market. Houses are selling within days if not hours of a house being listed. Believe me it's frustrating when you know that the houses you are looking at a week before you can go and look will more than likely be sold by the time you can get there to look. That's what happened to us. The day we were there to look all but 2 of the houses we had scheduled to see were sold!!! It was crazy. Then we had a huge blessing. I'm not going into details now but it&
