Aroma2Go Review

Image
I love Aromatherapy and Essential Oils. I also work from home on my laptop (very early in the morning) so when I was given an opportunity to try this amazing USB Diffuser from Aroma2Go I was very excited. I have used this diffuser plugged into my laptop and in my car USB drive and it worked perfectly. The diffuser looks like a regular USB drive, however inside is where all the magic happens. The USB diffuser comes with a little cartridge that can be filled with any essential oil you choose. (My favorite is peppermint) Here you can see my USB Diffuser plugged into my laptop. You can see the red light on the device that indicates that it is working. In the picture you can see that there is a switch with little bumps next to it. This is the frequency settings. The diffuser does release in a continual stream but works in 13-60 seconds bursts. Although it is recommended to have the diffuser in the upright position, as you can see from my picture my laptop has the p

Random 5 Friday

Image
Where have the last 6 weeks gone. 1. We took my niece to the airport yesterday - I can't believe she was with us for 6 weeks - Time flies when you are having fun (and moving house).  2. To cheer everyone up we went over to see my nephew. Snuggling a baby can be a great help to a new mom. My sister-in-law said it was so nice to be able to catch up on a few jobs...we didn't feel it was a hardship at all. My newest nephew (plus his older siblings) is a delight. 3. This week we took our seadoo out on the lake. It has been two years since we have had the time. Living 15 minutes away from the lake now we have moved is going to be awesome. My sister and her husband joined us with their boat. We had a blast. The pictures are not the best...we were driving very fast. 4.  I found this cute picture of Jam the other day... 5. Just took the kids out for milkshakes at Sonic - got to love "Half Price After 8". Click on the link below to see other Rando

Random 5 Friday

Image
I completely missed last Friday. Well, I completely missed the Random 5 post anyway. My day was absolutely crazy as our furniture was delivered into our new house. 1. My husband and I realized we may be getting old when grabbing a subway this week my daughter said "What's that phone on the wall for?" We realized that she had never seen a payphone before. Shocker :) 2.We took the kids to see a drive-in movie. My niece is visiting from England. I think the girls had the best set-up. They did too...  3. Little J has been having great fun with glow sticks. 4.  On our way to the Dentist this week we stopped at an amusement park for a couple of hours. Monday morning and the park was empty. The kids had a blast and it made our trip to the Dentist a lot more fun. 5. We are in the house. My parents were wonderful and let us stay with them for about 3 weeks. We had a blast. Luckily their house is big enough that 6 extra people could move in witho

20 Mule Team Borax

Image
I just have to say I LOVE  this product. I add it to my laundry EVERY day. I have also made my old laundry detergent with it. You can see my recipe  here . If I am not using it in my own soap (normally when I get laundry soap really cheap with a coupon) I still add borax to the water. I prefer to start the water running in my machine and then add the borax. I let the machine agitate for a few minutes / seconds before adding my clothes. I have had the best results this way. The powder gets mixed into the water and dissolves nicely. Check out their promotions page here where you can sign up to receive their newsletter and coupons. (Who doesn't like coupons). Just in case you have never used Borax here's a few facts. 20 Mule Team Borax is 100% natural mineral from the earth. Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate: produced by the perpetual evaporation of seasonal lakes Absolutely nothing is added. No phosphates, chlorine, or other additive chemicals No

Memories of Poems

I found two poems today that I had memorized as a child. As I read them to my four year old, I realized that I still knew them. This reminded me how important memorization is to our education. Here are the poems; Hunter Trials   By John Betjeman It's awf'lly bad luck on Diana, Her ponies have swallowed their bits : She fished down their throats with a spanner And frightened them all into fits. So now she's attempting to borrow. Do lend her some bits, Mummy, do ; I'll lend her my own for tomorrow, But today I'll be wanting them too. Just look at Prunella on Guzzle, The wizardest pony on earth; Why doesn't she slacken his muzzle And tighten the breech in his girth? I say, Mummy, there's Mrs Geyser And doesn't she look pretty sick? I bet it's because Mona Lisa Was hit on the hock with a brick. Miss Blewitt says Monica threw it, But Monica says it was Joan, And Joan's very thick with Miss Blew
