Enjoying the Chaos

What a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends. Remember at this busy time our Savior who is truly the reason for the season. We ended our family Christmas party on Saturday night, after our traditional skits, present giving and games with some wonderful singing. Boo played through every Christmas hymn in our hymn book and we sang and sang. We sang about peace on earth, the birth of our Savior and what a gift he is to us.

I love Christmas, and have great memories of Santa. Stockings were always one of my favorite parts of Christmas. One year I remember being very determined to stay up until Santa (well I actually called him Father Christmas being from England) arrived. I remember that I had a little hoop on my Christmas stocking that year and I wrapped it tightly around my finger so I knew that Father Christmas would have to wake me to fill it. What I actually woke to is the loop cut off my stocking... Christmas stockings can bring so much excitement, I remember the year we all used big white wool socks so many fun times. I love that they can be filled sometimes with everyday items, but when stuffed in a sock they become 'magical'.
