I have never had to teach a child to read before all by myself. I think it's one of the most important things I will ever do in Captain's life. I was recently sent a an awesome program from  The Institute For Excellence in Writing  often referred to as IEW  for Captain. We love field trips. In fact one of the main reasons we school year round is that we can fit in field trips whenever the weather is perfect.  Apologia Educational Ministries  have recently introduced their new  Exploring Creation Field Trip Journal . The new field trip journal is full of ideas to make the most of field trips that can happened anywhere. The trips can be as close as the end of your street, all the way across the country or half way across the world. A few years ago when we first started homeschooling we joined a coop but the weekly schedule just wasn't for us. We are going on vacation soon and so I was looking for something to keep my cell phone drive and usable. I was offered a waterproof cell phone case to review from U Deserve Tech . We tested it out in our pool using a tissue instead of my phone. I didn't want to use my phone straight away. Jam was more than willing to do the hard work (play in the pool holding the case). The tissue came out completely dry! It will make it into my suitcase! The case allows me to use the screen of my phone while it's in the there. I haven't tried to take pictures but I don't think that would work. I will be using this in the water park! 1. Captain learned how to dive off the starting blocks at swim practice. 2. It's rained ALL week! We managed one day in our pool with Grandma, and even got a little sun! 3. First swim meet of the summer tomorrow. 4. We went to our first and probably last baseball game of the season. 5. When Sams Club says they close at 9pm they really mean 8:45pm. Just saying!
