Jam passed his scripture off on Monday with his  Seminary Teacher . So it's time for another one. Since I jumped out of order last week as I picked up the wrong card. We are back in Psalms. This last weekend was Thanksgiving and I don't know if it made me appreciate everything a little more or not but I was definitely feeling very reflective . Captain went to bed as normal however, by 2:30 I heard him sneaking in my room. I asked him if he was OK and he told me he'd had three nightmares and could he have a snuggle. Normally I let him jump in for a couple of minutes and then send him on his way, but for some reason his added plea of 'Mom, I nearly went to Jam's bed but I knew that only you could make me feel safe!". Oh my goodness my heart swelled up like crazy. I realized I couldn't remember the last time my baby (don't tell him I said that) had come in for a snuggle in the middle of the night. I realized that these days will be getting fewer and further between. So I decided to let him stay. He snuggled all night and gave me a huge hug in the morning and said how much he loved me, and how much he needed to snuggle the night before. Of cou...

We spend a lot of time on the computer. My husband works in IT so he's very pro technology. I work online and the kids have quite a few online classes. They only was we can make this work smoothly is for everyone to have their own laptop. Until last year Captain used to share mine, but because it makes sense for him to utilize online courses and programs while I work it became necessary for him to get his own laptop as well. This is all great as technology is awesome and is really useful. However, I didn't want the kids to have 'free reign' over everything on the Internet. We have tried numerous programs for the computer but so far none of them seemed to be very user friendly. I heard about  Magic Desktop  and I was intrigued straight away. Well he's done it again, Jam is completely blowing me away with his dedication this year. He's really working hard at memorizing his  Seminary Scriptures  and passed off another one yesterday. So we have a new scripture written on our glass door in the kitchen. Since there is no Seminary next week this one may be up a little longer. However, there is also a good chance he could memorize this by Friday! I was a little slow posting our scripture of the week. We started this one on Monday as it took Jam a little longer to memorize the 10 commandments for Seminary. However he beat me to it this week. I was preparing this post and he looked over my shoulder and said that I was behind because he passed this one off in Seminary this morning. That kid and his dedication amazes me! However I'm sharing it anyway because I worked hard on this one - isn't the picture fun!
