20 Mule Team Borax
I just have to say I LOVE this product.
I add it to my laundry EVERY day. I have also made my old laundry detergent with it. You can see my recipe here.
If I am not using it in my own soap (normally when I get laundry soap really cheap with a coupon) I still add borax to the water. I prefer to start the water running in my machine and then add the borax. I let the machine agitate for a few minutes / seconds before adding my clothes. I have had the best results this way. The powder gets mixed into the water and dissolves nicely.
Check out their promotions page here where you can sign up to receive their newsletter and coupons. (Who doesn't like coupons).
Just in case you have never used Borax here's a few facts.
20 Mule Team Borax is 100% natural mineral from the earth.
Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate: produced by the perpetual evaporation of seasonal lakes
Absolutely nothing is added. No phosphates, chlorine, or other additive chemicals
Now you can have a chance to win a coupon for a free box of 20 Mule Team Borax.

ReplyDeleteI have only used Borax for making snow crystals for a school project with my children. I would happily use it in my laundry, too, though. :)
ReplyDeleteBorox is an old cleaning/whitening product. Mother used it in the '40s & I've continued her "tried 'n true" for about 30 yrs. now. It's great! Be careful of powder particles if you pour into washer; bad for lungs to inhale ANY foreign "dusts." I use 1/3 cup measurer to dip fm box so I don't stir any up. . .
