StartWrite 6 Review & Giveaway

I have never owned a program to make worksheets before, I have always just used the free ones you could find online. They seemed to do the job for me - but little did I know what I was missing out on.

I have been learning the ropes on a program called StartWrite6 it really is a easy was to create customized handwriting practice sheets.
Captain is 6 and although he knows all his letters and I don't need to make simple worksheets for him anymore this program lets me make anything I want and includes a tone of pictures and designs to make it more fun.

We all know that handwriting is a skill that every child needs to learn and this program can make the worksheets fun! Not only that but it is bilingual and can be used in Spanish - so we can add this program to our language study too - which makes it work for my older two!

The customer service with this company is amazing too! I had a little problem installing - what can I say my husband is the computer expert! I emailed the company and the matter was solved within a couple of hours - via email - that's impressive!

    I have sloppy handwriting myself, and I haven't been diligent about teaching proper handwriting, but I'd love to rectify that with a great program like this!

    Mixing print and cursive. I do not write in traditional or proper cursive.

    My boys just hate handwriting! They prefer to work on computer just to avoid it.

    Consistency in practice for one child and lack of desire for neatness in another.

Magnificent Tales -Treasury of Bible Stories - Review and Giveaway

For the last couple of week Captain America has really been enjoying this really cool picture book full of bible stories. Captain America has really loved these stories. In fact the very day this book came in the mail he made Dad read it from cover to cover. Just about every day since, he has convinced someone to read at least one to him. The stories are all told in rhyme which make them really fun to read as well as listen to. The pictures are also very bright and fun. The Ultimate Blog Party #UBP13

This is my first time participating in this blog party so I am kind of nervous... You know the walk into a room and not knowing any one kind. I am originally from England and have lived in the States for the last 14 years. My husband is also from England and so although out children were all born here. They still have some strange British quirks, eat British food, and pronounce things in different ways - yes my boys are cowboy boot wearing Americans through and through. The hats normally only come out for Halloween though. We starting homeschooling about two years ago when Jam was starting 5th grade and Boo 3rd. We love it. At the time we had chickens and bunnies - however we recently gave them to a friend who has a farm since we are trying to relocate closer to my husbands work. (He commutes an hour each way.) So my blog name makes me chuckle it should now be Homeschool but NO chickens and bunnies. I am excited to meet new friends. Leave me a comment to say Hi.
