Boo loves nature!

While checking on our new outside cat this morning Boo came across something 'amazing' (her words).

A leaf had fallen in the water bowl last night and left what Boo described as a fossil :)

She said "I am going have to draw it! Mom can we take a picture to keep it forever! Look at the detail Mom, It's beautiful!" .... Yes just like that without stopping to take a breath!!

Got to love her.....

Random 5 Friday - February 7 2014

  Random 5 Friday 1. I am finding it hard to be random today. I am going to a friend's daughter's funeral. She was 20. Faith is a funny thing, you never know how much you have until you need it.  2. This week I really appreciated the joy of homeschooling my children. The weather has been yucky. Snow and ice everywhere. I can't count how many school days the local school district's have called. I know some of them have missed this whole week for starters. We however have had no break in our schedule it's been great. The kids are looking forward to playing in the snow this weekend for longer that 'break-time or lunch'.  3. I am not a play in the snow kind of person. I would love to be, but if I am honest I'm not. I hate it. I hate all the effort that it takes to get everyone bundled up, and outside. Attributional Tendencies

We all make judgments all the time. It is a part of our human nature and how we protect ourselves to some extent. If someone doesn't feel safe we stay away from them etc... What is attribution - from what I've read it can be explained like this, Attribution is how we explain or try to explain why something happened or why someone behaves the way they do.  The funny thing about attribution is that they are made up of our own biases and experiences. When we decide from what we see happen why someone did something we are making judgments. The funny thing about this is that we tend to judge ourselves and others differently. From what I've read we are more likely to judge like this; If someone else is successful it's because of something outside of their control. They have great parents, went to a good school, lived in the best neighborhood. If someone does something bad it's because of a personal choice they made or they are just a bad person.
