Birthday Blessings

My children asked me this week how old I was going to be on my birthday. When I replied "I don't know?" They were completely mortified. I followed it with "Age just isn't important to me, I don't think about it."

Little J who reminds me ALL the time he is 4 and not a baby - followed with "Well it's going to be important to me for a LONG time, when I'm 5,6,7, and 8 especially 8 because then I get baptized".

Although my age is not important to me it is to others...I had to fill out a health form last night and it asked for my age, I turned to my amazing husband and asked him how old I was...He worked it out from the year I was born and then laughed and said WOW that mean's I am ...

Birthdays are are good time to reflect on blessings... I have a lot and I know I will miss some but here we go.

I have been blessed with the most amazing parents. They have taught me a lot about love and sacrifice. They love each other so much and are such an example to me (aren't they cute).

My older sister (yes I thought it would be more fun to chose an old photo!) Got to LOVE the 70's right.

When I was 5 we were joined by my 'little' brother. He keeps us all in stitches.

When I was 11 my baby Sister joined the family.

You don't make friends like this often...even living an ocean apart, after all these years - we are still close friends - in fact our daughters are becoming friends - they Skype chatted this week, it was so fun.

When I was 16 I went on my first date with this cute boy... He became my husband.

Our Special Blessings,

I have so much to be thankful for, each birthday reminds me of that even if I forget my age.

  1. I have 4 siblings back home too. I'm the oldest though ;) My sister is 2 years younger, then my brother is 5 years younger, my sister 11 years younger and the youngest is 19 years younger than me (I kid you not on the 5 and 11 btw ;) )
They are the reason I love Facebook- it keeps me in contact with them :)

  2. Luckily all my siblings now live in the US. My husband however has 5 siblings in England! That's my main use for Facebook too!
