BOOK IT PIZZA PROGRAM



Did you know that home-schoolers can sign up for the Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program.

We got involved in this program when my older two were in public school and it really was the highlight of their month when they received their certificates. My kids still love it, even though this year was the first year Jam wasn't eligible (which made him very sad). This year we had a fun experience. My kids turned ordered their Book It pizza's and when it was time to pick it up they came out holding a Medium Pizza apparently my local Pizza hut ran out of personal pans 

Did you know that the BOOK IT program was started by The Pizza Hut President Art Gunther he had a son who was a struggling reader and then as the website says he had a Light-bulb moment and realized that Pizza was a good motivator Pizza + Praise + Family = Success and a program was born.

We have loved this program over the years and although I have just enrolled Boo for her last year of the program I know I have another 6 years enjoying it with Little J.

I would encourage everyone to sign up and add some pizza to your home-school!

Magnificent Tales -Treasury of Bible Stories - Review and Giveaway

For the last couple of week Captain America has really been enjoying this really cool picture book full of bible stories. Captain America has really loved these stories. In fact the very day this book came in the mail he made Dad read it from cover to cover. Just about every day since, he has convinced someone to read at least one to him. The stories are all told in rhyme which make them really fun to read as well as listen to. The pictures are also very bright and fun. The Ultimate Blog Party #UBP13

This is my first time participating in this blog party so I am kind of nervous... You know the walk into a room and not knowing any one kind. I am originally from England and have lived in the States for the last 14 years. My husband is also from England and so although out children were all born here. They still have some strange British quirks, eat British food, and pronounce things in different ways - yes my boys are cowboy boot wearing Americans through and through. The hats normally only come out for Halloween though. We starting homeschooling about two years ago when Jam was starting 5th grade and Boo 3rd. We love it. At the time we had chickens and bunnies - however we recently gave them to a friend who has a farm since we are trying to relocate closer to my husbands work. (He commutes an hour each way.) So my blog name makes me chuckle it should now be Homeschool but NO chickens and bunnies. I am excited to meet new friends. Leave me a comment to say Hi.
