A little Thunder - Fundraiser

I have a friend that started an amazing 'not for profit' company. The name is A Little Thunder (facebook) you can check out their website here.  They provide comfort boxes to families who lose children. Having lost two children myself, I can understand the comfort that these boxes bring. The items bring a little comfort and may fulfil a need, but the thought that someone cares or is thinking about you is paramount. When a family is going through a loss like this they feel very alone. Although you know that others have suffered in the same or similar way, it also feels like no one knows what you are going through. I remember feeling like I had been transported out of my life and was floating. Nothing seemed real for quite a while, and then you realize that its not a bad dream, and you won't wake up to everything being OK.

The family started A Little Thunder in honor of their son Issac you can read his story here.

I lost my son Samuel when we lived in Wales. We didn't have any family that lived close. I remember my Mom had just visited (from the US) a few weeks before. She had come with me to a scan and we had seen him waving and jumping around. Then within a few weeks he was gone. We never knew why, they couldn't find any reason. The OBGYN that worked with me with my three living children thought maybe it was due to the fact that I am Rhesus negative and my husband isn't. I remember that I had a little bleeding (a very little) and they told me to come in for a scan, everything looked fine and they sent me home to rest. It was a week or so later when we realized that Samuel had died. When I was pregnant with Jam I had a similar scare. My OBGYN called me in straight away for a rhogam injecttion and everything proceeded perfectly (except for my stress level). Since the situations were so similar it seems that maybe an extra rhogan injection 'may' have made a difference.

I wish I had thought of someway to help people going through a similar situation. Then I found A Little Thunder and realized that to do something like this takes money. So I began to hatch a plan. What could I do to help!

I decided to run a fundraiser! So starting October 1st to the 15th I am running a Jamberry Fundraiser. ALL COMMISSON will be going directly to A Little Thunder!

So if you feel moved in anyway - come check it out by joining the public facebook event here. We would love your support! If you don't want to join in the facebook party but just place an order to help you can go straight to my website Here and make sure to choose 'A Little Thunder Fundraiser'

Every little helps - Thanks in advance for your support.
