I love this time of year. I can't believe it's just two weeks till Christmas. The weather has finally turned cold. It makes if feel even more like Christmas. All we 'don't' need is snow...
We live in a society where we come across people from different cultures every day. I think more people move to live in other countries than ever before. People moving to different countries means cross-cultural experiences in the classroom for students and teachers. When I was eight my parents moved to the United States. My dad was in the RAF (Royal Air Force) and had been advised to send my older sister and me to boarding school. The thought behind it was that moving to the States and the difference in education would affect our long-term education. My parents didn't agree, they thought that moving to another country as a family and having new experiences together would be better for us. So as a nine-year-old I started school on a military base in the middle of Nebraska. I had a great experience and it was my first experience being in a different culture. Although English and Americans speak the same language (debatable sometimes) I was definitely experiencing a different style ...
Have you heard about the NEW Purex Laundry App? If not it is a new laundry aid that Purex has launched and it has a couple of really cool features. Android here and iOs here. I downloaded the app and have been using it to help me with my laundry. I don't know about you but one of the things I do ALL the time is put laundry in the washer or dryer and then forget about it. Later having to wash/dry it all again (the drying is because I am allergic to ironing and it's the quickest way to get rid of the creases). We the Purex app has got the answer - their new app has a timer for the washing machine and the dryer - how cool is that NO MORE FORGOTTEN CLOTHES. (Well hopefully). Another cool feature of the app is the Label Decoder - You can pick all of those confusing symbols that you find on your clothes tags. Then hit the 'decode' button it then tells you what each of those symbols mean...so no more throwing that shirt in the dryer to find out it now fits the fou...
