Happy New Year

I nearly made it through 2016 without being sick once. Until Friday I got hit big time. So for the first time in a long time I didn't stay up to ring in the new year. In fact we cheated and watched the fireworks in London online - about 6 hours early.

It looks like 2017 will be an interesting one. We start the New Year off by getting a third driver! I'm nervous but excited. Driving test sometime this week! So many other things on the horizon but my main goal is to enjoy the moment and not dwell on things we can't change.

So my word for 2017 is to "enjoy". I don't want to stress about things I can't change just enjoy every moment as it happens.

So happy New Year, I'm going to try and enjoy today - even though we are starting the new year out with a sick day.

For the last couple of week Captain America has really been enjoying this really cool picture book full of bible stories. Captain America has really loved these stories. In fact the very day this book came in the mail he made Dad read it from cover to cover. Just about every day since, he has convinced someone to read at least one to him. The stories are all told in rhyme which make them really fun to read as well as listen to. The pictures are also very bright and fun. The Ultimate Blog Party #UBP13

This is my first time participating in this blog party so I am kind of nervous... You know the walk into a room and not knowing any one kind. I am originally from England and have lived in the States for the last 14 years. My husband is also from England and so although out children were all born here. They still have some strange British quirks, eat British food, and pronounce things in different ways - yes my boys are cowboy boot wearing Americans through and through. The hats normally only come out for Halloween though. We starting homeschooling about two years ago when Jam was starting 5th grade and Boo 3rd. We love it. At the time we had chickens and bunnies - however we recently gave them to a friend who has a farm since we are trying to relocate closer to my husbands work. (He commutes an hour each way.) So my blog name makes me chuckle it should now be Homeschool but NO chickens and bunnies. I am excited to meet new friends. Leave me a comment to say Hi.
