Five Minute Friday - My Safe Scripture
We are all in craziness here! In the next few months we are going to be heading out on a big move. It's the furthest we have moved since my husband and I immigrated to the US in 1999. We have not lived more than an hour a way from my parents since then and it's going to be a huge change for us.
We are moving to a slightly colder climate! I checked on the temperature there this morning and it was 32 degrees!!! WHAT I know it's cold some of the time here but today we are looking at a high of 64 degrees and tomorrow it's forecast ed to hit 74 degrees. The city we are moving too has had snow on the ground for a few months now. We just get snow for a day or two until it melts away.
So one thing my kids are looking forward too is the snow/winter activities. I remember as a child living in Nebraska and they would fill the basketball court with water in the winter and we would have a free ice skating rink for the winter! It got really chopped up but I have some great memories there! So hopefully we will make some new memories of our own. My parents said they are going to be summer visitors :)
This move reminds me of my favorite scripture. Proverbs 3:5-6. It's been my favorite scripture since I was about 14 and yet over the years it has helped me through so many different experiences. Now again as we prepare for this big change I can feel myself being drawn to it's comfort again. It's the scripture that makes me feel safe.
