It's been a crazy few days. We have some exciting changes on the way. Let's talk about a few.

1. Boo had her piano recital this last weekend and she did an amazing job. I'll be posting a video on our YouTube channel soon!

2. We are having some trees cute down today. We have lived in our current house for about 6 months and have a ton of trees. There are a couple of problems with two of them. After getting some advice from a couple of tree experts it was decided we would remove two of them. Although it wasn't the reason a nice bonus is that I get sunlight in my house now!!!


This may seem like a little thing but we used to live in a super bright house so it was a shock to have no direct sunlight!

Differences in Manners

Have you ever traveled to another country and been surprised by what is or isn't polite. One thing that has surprised me is language. There are a few words in the UK that are considered not polite that are common in the US and the other way around. I remember when my family had just come back from the US to live in England again. My sister said something and an older lady was offended and went to tell my mom. My mom then obviously sat us down and had a conversation about how different things are acceptable in different countries. Obviously, my sister didn't use that word again...and I'm not even going to tell you what it was ☺ The article  13 examples of Good and Bad manners around the world  lists some examples that you may not have heard of; Is belching (burping) always considered rude? For the last couple of week Captain America has really been enjoying this really cool picture book full of bible stories. Captain America has really loved these stories. In fact the very day this book came in the mail he made Dad read it from cover to cover. Just about every day since, he has convinced someone to read at least one to him. The stories are all told in rhyme which make them really fun to read as well as listen to. The pictures are also very bright and fun.
