BookSneeze Review - Faithful to Laura

I am a huge fan of Amish books as you know.

Author Kathleen Fuller continues her "Middlefield Family" series with Book Two: "Faithful to Laura". I never read the first book in this series. If I had realized I probably would have read the first book before reading this one.

It is about a boy and a girl... I know that sounds the same as any other book however this book reads differently. The main characters Sawyer and Laura both have a main role in the story. You see the plot unfold through both of their eyes. It covers topics like adoption, revenge, justice, and of course love.

There are other stories mixed in with this story including the story of Emma and Adam this is where I first realized that there must have been a previous book. I felt like had walked in half way through a movie and had to quickly try and work out what must have happened before.

The book mixes the 'Yankee World' and 'Amish World' quite nicely. However, like all books it is not perfect. I was very disappointed with how the 'Yankee' grandmother 'Cara' is described in the book. I thought that the description was a little over the top.

Saying that, I would definitely be interested in reading the rest of this series. They are definitely a relaxing read.

NOTE: I received a complimentary copy of Faithful to Laura through the Booksneeze Blogger program in exchange for an honest review.
