A Christmas Gift for Rose - Booksneeze Review
I was recently given a kindle copy of the book A Christmas Gift for Rose.
A Christmas Gift for Rose is a wonderful book set in the time of World War II in Berlin - Not Germany Ohio.
Rose rejects the love of her life after he goes against the Amish beliefs and enlists as a medic and is shipped off to Germany. Shortly after his return from the war she finds out that she is not Amish by birth but really an Englischer. She finds out that her English parents leave her with their Amish neighbors as they didn't feel they could support her, and feared that she would die, due to malnourishment. This causes her great heart-ache and soul searching.
When her love leaves she fears that he has gone forever, however he returns with the best Christmas gift ever.
I loved this story...well worth reading.
