Congratulations to Boo

This has been a full summer so far. We missed two swim meets because of our awesome family reunion in Disney this June. So besides the two swim meets we missed she also missed 3 weeks of swim practice. So we were a little surprised yesterday when we arrived at our summer league swim championships that she was placed 4th for the girls 11-12 high points competition.

She decided not to get stressed about it and just swam her best. She was ranked 1st in the 50 Fly, 1st in the 200 IM and 2nd in the 50 Free. Well she did it and actually ended up 1st, 1st, and 2nd in all three of the races.

At the end of the meet they announced the high point winners and she had moved from 4th to 3rd! She was so excited to get a trophy she wasn't expecting!

For the last couple of week Captain America has really been enjoying this really cool picture book full of bible stories. Captain America has really loved these stories. In fact the very day this book came in the mail he made Dad read it from cover to cover. Just about every day since, he has convinced someone to read at least one to him. The Ultimate Blog Party #UBP13

This is my first time participating in this blog party so I am kind of nervous... You know the walk into a room and not knowing any one kind. I am originally from England and have lived in the States for the last 14 years. My husband is also from England and so although out children were all born here. They still have some strange British quirks, eat British food, and pronounce things in different ways - yes my boys are cowboy boot wearing Americans through and through. The hats normally only come out for Halloween though. We starting homeschooling about two years ago when Jam was starting 5th grade and Boo 3rd. We love it. At the time we had chickens and bunnies - however we recently gave them to a friend who has a farm since we are trying to relocate closer to my husbands work. (He commutes an hour each way.) So my blog name makes me chuckle it should now be Homeschool but NO chickens and bunnies. I am excited to meet new friends. Leave me a comment to say Hi.
