Random Five Friday - October 10

1. I think I am coming down with something. So I went to the store and stocked up on some more Emergen C and Garlic. I have been diffusing Spark Naturals - Respire Blend all day but I think I may have to change to the Spark Natural Shield Protective Blend to help everyone else in the house.

2. My Mom and Dad went away last weekend and brought my kids a little present. Captain America got this cute book called ' National Geographic Kids Weird But True #3

The kids love it and have been quoting stuff from it all week.

3. All the mined gold in the world can fill two olympic-size swimming pools (random fact)

4. Frog bones grow new rings as they age, just like trees.

5. Mosquitoes prefer to bite people with smelly feet!

I know, I know I couldn't help but share a few of the 'random facts'.

Magnificent Tales -Treasury of Bible Stories - Review and Giveaway

For the last couple of week Captain America has really been enjoying this really cool picture book full of bible stories. Captain America has really loved these stories. In fact the very day this book came in the mail he made Dad read it from cover to cover. Just about every day since, he has convinced someone to read at least one to him. The stories are all told in rhyme which make them really fun to read as well as listen to. The pictures are also very bright and fun. The Ultimate Blog Party #UBP13

This is my first time participating in this blog party so I am kind of nervous... You know the walk into a room and not knowing any one kind. I am originally from England and have lived in the States for the last 14 years. My husband is also from England and so although out children were all born here. They still have some strange British quirks, eat British food, and pronounce things in different ways - yes my boys are cowboy boot wearing Americans through and through. The hats normally only come out for Halloween though. We starting homeschooling about two years ago when Jam was starting 5th grade and Boo 3rd. We love it. At the time we had chickens and bunnies - however we recently gave them to a friend who has a farm since we are trying to relocate closer to my husbands work. (He commutes an hour each way.) So my blog name makes me chuckle it should now be Homeschool but NO chickens and bunnies. I am excited to meet new friends. Leave me a comment to say Hi.
