Random Five Friday April 10

1. Today we are celebrating cousin birthday twins. I have nieces that were both born today celebrating their birthday. The oldest is turning 17 and the younger turning 9 they are both so special. I am very sad that we can't be with them both today.



2. We have been super sick ALL WEEK and it's not gone yet. Captain started with it on Friday and they gradually over the week we have all been hit. Jam and Boo have been too sick for swim practice which I think is the first time ever since we started USA swimming. Honestly it's awful. Cough, chills, fevers, aches, and pains. Luckily no stomach bug...

3. This week was supposed to be a week off for the kids as we have Nana and Grandpa here visiting from England (Yes they got sick too). However the kids ended up doing some Math and their piano practice and of course lots of reading. We also watched quite a few documentaries - I love Netflix when we are sick.

4. Remember the Emu Oil I reviewed a while back...well I restocked, we love that stuff!!! They even sent me a lip balm to try with my order...except I don't want to open it till I feel better :)

5. I hope we all feel better soon, feeling sick stinks!

Magnificent Tales -Treasury of Bible Stories - Review and Giveaway

For the last couple of week Captain America has really been enjoying this really cool picture book full of bible stories. Captain America has really loved these stories. In fact the very day this book came in the mail he made Dad read it from cover to cover. Just about every day since, he has convinced someone to read at least one to him. The stories are all told in rhyme which make them really fun to read as well as listen to. The pictures are also very bright and fun. The Ultimate Blog Party #UBP13

This is my first time participating in this blog party so I am kind of nervous... You know the walk into a room and not knowing any one kind. I am originally from England and have lived in the States for the last 14 years. My husband is also from England and so although out children were all born here. They still have some strange British quirks, eat British food, and pronounce things in different ways - yes my boys are cowboy boot wearing Americans through and through. The hats normally only come out for Halloween though. We starting homeschooling about two years ago when Jam was starting 5th grade and Boo 3rd. We love it. At the time we had chickens and bunnies - however we recently gave them to a friend who has a farm since we are trying to relocate closer to my husbands work. (He commutes an hour each way.) So my blog name makes me chuckle it should now be Homeschool but NO chickens and bunnies. I am excited to meet new friends. Leave me a comment to say Hi.
